Paintings done by Sebastian draw from Renaissance and Baroque masters, with theatrical themed lighting and storybook style settings. Character and place are a large part of the concept, with figures rendered realistically but just altered to a more languid, rubbery style that is inspired by indigenous art of lower Africa and Meso American cultures. The natural earthy aura of paint applied is Sebastian’s main focus.
